Kapitals Add Dynamic Two Back Punch

Alonzo Smith, RB, Miami (OH)

KANSAS CITY, MO-- The Kansas City Kapitals have agreed to terms with tailbacks Alonzo Smith and Josh Hicks for the upcoming season. Both Smith and Hicks have agreed to multi-year agreements with the Kapitals. 

Smith (5'10", 220, Miami, OH) joins the Kapitals after a successful collegiate career at Miami of Ohio. During his career, Smith totaled 2,613 rushing yards and 21 total touchdowns while averaging an impressive 4.5 yards per rushing attempt. The 2020 campaign will mark Smith's first season of arena football. 

Hicks (5'10", 210, Rutgers) joins the Kapitals after a successful collegiate career in the Big Ten Conference at Rutgers University. To credit Hicks total over 1,400 yards from scrimmage while scoring eight touchdowns in one of college football's best conferences. 

Smith and Hicks joined a talented offensive backfield in Kansas City, potentially led by the dynamic Khalil Trotman (6'1", 210, Urbana). Trotman brings a skillset similar to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to the Kapitals offense. 

The Kapitals led by indoor football coaching and playing veteran Adrian Perez are poised for a solid 2020 season.
